Dear Journal, (By:Faith Molitor)
Everytime Faith comes to visit, I always sniff her bag. She always comes with her books and I wonder how she carries such a heavy backpack. She always smiles when she sees me, especially because she took Douglass and I in the stroller a couple of weeks ago (and I wrapped myself, in the blanket, like a burrito). I promptly realized that although the warm weather was beautiful, I’d like to watch it from the safety of my home.
I don’t really let her pet me, but today I decided I wanted to watch her work. Normally she is here with this other young male, but she seemed really happy just to sit down and be in her own element. She started typing away and I decided to see what she was writing, which was a piece on Tuckahoe. I got a little offended that she wasn’t writing a piece about me, so I laid down on the table and she took a video as I watched my fellow companions.
She’s a lot like me, and it’s really nice to see her finally finding her place at the Cat Colloquim. I have no doubt that she will go far here.
With all my love,
Annie Stam
