A Community Caring for Cats in Chestertown

MISSION

The mission of our Cat Colloquium is to create a community in Chestertown that advocates for animals and children in a warm, friendly, and inquisitive way.

VISION

Our vision is to create a physical space where the Chestertown community can come together, in the company of well-supported cats, to engage in opportunities that support animals and children.

That might mean working together on a fundraiser for a local children’s group, hosting meetings in our space where our cats roam free, attending a workshop on how to educate children about animals, creating a think tank for animal advocacy, or feeding treats to our Resident Cats.

EXPLANATION

Kit Cares - Cat Colloquium – a 501(c)(3) non-profit operates as a meeting space to discuss, engage and to advocate for animals, children, and the Chestertown community in the company of cats.

To help understand our mission-

Colloquium – from the Latin root COL = together and LOGUI = to talk. To come together to talk about important issues.

Cat Colloquium – a warm, friendly, inquisitive place to come together in the company of cats

OUTLOOK

Our point of view and attitude toward life is CARE. We embrace this by caring for and providing a home for our resident cats who welcome visitors to our warm, safe, and creative environment. The cats care for us by welcoming us into their home, giving visitors engaging glances, encouraging meows, and warm embraces. Our staff, volunteers, visitors, and donors care for our cats and each other, bettering the lives of all.

WISHES

Fulfilling the wishes of the Cat Colloquium is our best way to show how we care. Our wishes are to provide educational opportunities, provide support to organizations that care for animals, children and the community, and to all who continue to MEOW – Meet, Embrace, Opportunity, and Welcome.

Please come see us, support us and accept the admiration of our residents and continue to add to our mission and vision.
