Welcome to our

Resident Memorials

where we honor the cats that we have loved and will continue to love, even as they are no longer with us.

Robinson

Robinson was born on May 8, 2020. He was an Arabian Mau and came to the Cat Colloquium from a private rescue organization in Caroline County in August of 2020. Robinson arrived at the Cat Colloquium with a severe eye infection. Despite his condition and likely some pain, Mr. Robinson was a very active and playful kitten. He was often seen chasing his brothers, Douglass and Frederick. After many weeks of antibiotics and amazing doctor care, it was determined that his eyes would need to be removed. He was then pain free and such a happy cat; we were delighted to have him and to share his story with our visitors. We did not suspect that Mr. Robinson had multiple, unusual bacterial infections. He passed away in August 2021, and left a very large hole in our hearts. We now share his story and empathize with many of our guests that have lost loved ones.

Abraham Robinson was a life-long resident of Chestertown. He owned and operated an ice cream parlor in the 300 block of High Street in the 1920’s. Since the Cat Colloquium is located over an ice cream establishment, we thought it a perfect tribute to name our dear kitten after this wonderful man.
