Douglass
Douglass and his brother, Frederick, were adopted from Queen Anne’s County Animal Services. Douglass is a Domestic, shorthair mix and is slightly smaller than his brother – he weighed just over two pounds when he arrived. His birthday is April 8, 2020. Douglass once had an eye infection and appears to have a slight visual impairment, but he is quite active and shows no sign of physical limitations. He enjoys climbing the tree as a way of playing— usually with Harriet.
Douglass has become a peacekeeper of sorts in the Colloquium, constantly making rounds to check in with the other cats. However, sometimes he has ulterior motives; Douglass is lazy and does not want to clean himself. He often goes to other cats after they are done eating to get them to clean him! It’s a habit he kept from when he was a kitten, but the other residents indulge him regularly. Douglass is also very playful, and can be seen playing quite a bit with Harriet, and runs for every meal time.
