Nellie Belle is named for a dainty, fastidious dresser that resided on Queen Street. She was a precise and delicate woman who was a neighbor to 215 High Street. Nellie Belle (the cat) reflects many of the same characteristics of her namesake; her fur is quite soft and wispy, and she walks softly and carries herself in a stately manner.  Nellie Belle was born on June 1, 2019. She is a Persian cat and was another one of our cats that came to the Cat Colloquium from a private rescue organization in Caroline County.

Nellie Belle loves to sleep with her hind legs outstretched. She likes to observe the other cats, much like Hilda Lynn and Tuck. She will sometimes come up to guests, and loves to have her head and chin rubbed. Sometimes, when you pet down her back, her tail will twitch! She can be found sleeping in boxes and on taller surfaces.
