MacArthur Smith Wilmer married one of Annie H. Stam’s granddaughters and also owned the property where the Cat Colloquium is now operating. In the naming of our cats, we wanted to honor those people that have been significant to the area – the Wilmer family is well-known in Kent County.

Mackey (the cat) was born July 2, 2019. He is a Scottish Fold – easily recognized by the fold in his ears - and has the darkest coat of the three Scottish Folds we have, making him further differentiated from our two sisters. He also has the widest eyes of the three, as well as the entire clowder! Mackey came to us by way of a private rescue organization in Caroline County. He has very soft fur and is very gentle. He loves to care for the younger kittens and he LOVES to watch people from his favorite spot in the Stams Luncheonette window. He also loves to reside on the right side of the coach, sitting on top of the back cushions in a little ball. Mackey is not the most active of the cats, but he does enjoy to be pet by guests!
